Scottish Power Works on Princess Street, Chester from Sunday 3rd October

Dear all

Apologies for the short notice; Scottish Power need to close Princess Street from Sunday morning for some urgent electrical works to restore power to the market and Forum offices.

As you may know we have been running on generators for a number of weeks since the fire in the sub-station, and we are now ready to reconnect the mains power.

The work will require the closure of the pedestrian route along Princess Street for approximately a week from Sunday. The closed section will be between the market ramp and the car park entrance, however the ramp, toilets and car park entrance will remain open.

Pedestrian diversion signs will be in place directing the public around onto Trinity Street and then Hamilton Place in order to reach Northgate St. via the passageway by the Dublin Packet, see attached diversion plan for reference.

The Market car park will remain open during the closure.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience during these works.

Regards Andrew
