  • The Albion’s loss of Community Asset Status – this is still pending, awaiting Christina’s decision
  • Moving Traffic Offences – Sam Dixon is willing to support BERA in its application for an ANPR in Park Street

.

Queen’s Jubilee

  • Christina is exploring the possibility of holding a quiz night in The Albion on one of the evenings
  • Mike suggested a community clean up of the Drill Hall Gardens on another day, followed by food and drinks in The Cross Keys (Dave and Jane have agreed to this). Mike will sort out dates and funding. It was suggested that maybe BERA could pay for the food. Jim was concerned that there was not a lot we could actually do in the gardens. Fiona was concerned that we would not get much support from residents (and also raised health and safety concerns). She suggested making it more of a social occasion. Mike said perhaps Christina could provide sandwiches. Mike to explore & confirm details ASAP.

Quicks

Mike and Jim attended a meeting with Jonathan Masters, a director of Bridgemere, to view their latest plans. He is hopeful that their current discussions with CWaC planning department are moving to a point where the planning application will be favourably considered

A.O.B

  • Fiona asked Jim for a pen portrait and picture to add to the committee page of the BERA website, if he was agreeable. She has also emailed Luke with the same request

Date of next meeting 18th May in The Cross Keys
